Middle School
Grades 5th- 8th
Middle School years are the smaller ‘Twigs’ of our program here at Honey Tree and Branches Academy. This is the time in a adolescent’s life when the socialization and academic skills from their elementary years continue to grow, develop, and ‘Branch’ out into diverse academic areas of study, and unchartered social settings requiring applicable problem solving. We provide a challenging, standards based curriculum, in a consistent caring, social, emotional environment to assist in the growth and development of these vital ‘Twigs’ for your child’s educational growth. Our small school, dedicated focus on appropriate social skills, and expectation of respectful interactions with others, helps to develop Leaders of Character and provide a more peaceful environment for your adolescent. A small, self contained, multi age class, with differentiated instruction, structure, appropriate behavior, and project based learning are important components of our Middle School program at Honey Tree and Branches Academy. The students are given the opportunity to ‘Branch’ out into different areas of academic interest, and learn multi subject organization as they prepare for their high school and college years; when they will develop the ‘leaves and crown of their tree’ in their educational journey.

Differentiated Learning
We utilize challenging, differentiated, Language Arts and Mathematics Curriculums, integrated into the Social Sciences, to meet the needs of your diverse learner. Our Middle School students ‘Branch’ out into diverse academic areas of study, requiring applicable problem solving and project based learning. Our students are challenged to 'Reach for the Highest Branches'.
Small Self Contained Class
Our Middle School class is a small, multi age, self contained classroom. This gives our students the opportunity to develop a close knit community of focused learners, in a pleasant learning environment for your student. Organizational skills for higher level learning and multiple classrooms are mastered to prepare students for their future.
Leadership Development
We create a positive environment to ensure that our students feel secure and have positive self esteem. Our expectation is for all students to be respectful, kind, and caring toward others. Our students develop a Social Contract that each member of their classroom is expected to uphold. We model and teach appropriate social skills to develop Leaders of Character!
