Our caring and qualified educators guide children through a path of lifelong learning committed to helping your child grow and develop fully. Here at Honey Tree and Branches Academy, we thoroughly love children and enjoy educating and challenging them to meet their full potential academically and socially! Our Academy Director/Lead Teacher has over 26 years of experience working as a state certified and licensed early childhood educator with the Wichita public schools, has teaching experience in a preschool, and is licensed by the state to be a childcare and preschool program director.

Our teaching staff are experienced, licensed educators with teaching degrees. Our entire staff have a KBI background checks, receive required yearly professional development hours, have current first aid and CPR certification, are trained in signs and symptoms of childhood illness and abuse, child development, and are screened for the use of illegal substances. There exists a positive, cooperative relationship among the staff with a genuine love and respect for one another, your child, and you.

IMG_2577Kimberly Fielding (Ms. Fielding), Academy Founder and Director
Kimberly founded Honey Tree Academy in 2007 in order to provide the highest early childhood educational experience possible to the young children in Kansas. She has been teaching young children in Kansas since 1987. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wichita State University in 1989, her Early Childhood Certification from Friends University in 2000, her Second Language Certification from Kansas State University in 2000, and finally her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State University in 2004. Kimberly currently holds a License/Teaching Certificate in the state of Kansas.Kimberly is a master facilitator and has many accomplishments to her credit, including:
•  Taught and participated on the leadership team in USD 259, the largest school district in Kansas for 20 years.
•  Participated in creating the first Dual Language Immersion Program in the state of Kansas 1996
•  Horace Mann Dual Language Magnet – A Blue Ribbon National School of Excellence
•  Co-Created and presented an integrated, academically challenging, early childhood, hands on curriculum;
•  It’s all in the Bag’ 1997-2000
•  Presented at State Teaching Conference 1997-1998
•  Featured in the 2005 Kansas Pediatric Foundation ‘Give a Kid a Book’ campaign
•  Who’s Who in American Teachers Award 2005

august_2011_007Paula Watkins (Miss Paula), Office Assistant
Paula received her Bachelor Degrees in General Studies and Psychology from Wichita State University in 1991. Paula has been a bank teller and customer service banking manager since 1991. Paula will greet you with a smile when you walk in the door! Miss Paula is in charge of student files, business accounts, banking, and office needs. She excels in fielding questions and also fills the role of our school nurse and substitute teacher when necessary.
jodiJodi Torline (Mrs. Torline), Elementary Educator and Early Childhood Facilitator
Jodi attended Fort Hays University 1997 – 2001 in pursuit of her elementary education degree. Mrs. Torline’s Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education will be complete as soon as she does her student teaching. Jodi has had years of previous experience as a preschool teacher and as an Assistant Director. Jodi is instrumental in providing whole and small group instruction, intervention and enrichment strategies to the students in the academy, assessing the students, documenting their progress, and observing socialization development of the students. Mrs. Torline is a teacher in our 2 1/2 -4 year old classroom.
1st_week_of_school_2012_021Laurisa Condray (Mrs. Condray), Elementary Educator and Early Childhood Facilitator
Laurisa received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education degree from Kansas Wesleyan in 2004, and her Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology from Emporia State University in 2007.  Laurisa currently holds a Teaching LIcense in the State of Kansas. Laurisa has had the opportunity to teach technology in Middle School and online education classes for grades fourth through eighth for eight years.  Laurisa is instrumental in providing whole and small group instruction and differentiation to the children in the academy, assessing the students, documenting their progress, and providing technological integration into lessons. Mrs. Condray has been here since 2012 and is a teacher in our 3-5 year old classroom.
Image605Christine Robison (Mrs. Robinson), Elementary Educator and Early Childhood Facilitator
Christine received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Missouri in 2010. Christine currently holds a Teaching License. Christine has had experience as a Kindergarten teacher, an Early Childhood Special Education Para professional for two years, and was a substitute teacher for four years, all in Missouri.  Christine is instrumental in providing whole and small group instruction differentiation to the children in the academy, assessing the students, documenting their progress, and maintaining student files. Mrs. Robison has been here since 2012 and is a teacher in our 2 1/2 – 4 year old classroom.
015Ashlae Davis, Kindergarten Teacher
Ashlae received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Wichita State University in 2010. Ashlae currently holds a Teaching License in Kansas. Ashlae has had experience as a para professional for three years with Wichita Public Schools in grades kindergarten through third grade, was a part time teacher at Honey Tree Academy for three years and has been teaching at Branches since 2010. Ashlae is instrumental in providing whole and small group instruction and differentiation to the children in the academy, assessing the students, documenting their progress, and maintaining student files. Ms. Davis is the teacher in our pre-kindergarten/kindergarten classroom.
Gretchen Fox Kindergarten/First/Second Grade Teacher
Gretchen received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Wichita State University in 1982. Gretchen currently holds a Teaching License in Kansas. Gretchen has had over 25 years of teaching experience with Wichita Public Schools and private schools in grades first through fifth. Gretchen is instrumental in providing whole and small group instruction and differentiation to the children in the academy, assessing the students, documenting their progress, and maintaining student files. Ms. Fox is the teacher in our kindergarten/first/second grade classroom.

002_-_Copy_2_Sally Williams (Miss Sally), Early Childhood Substitute
Sally is a retired preschool teacher and childcare provider. She is a permanent substitute at the academy. Miss Sally also serves as our unofficial counselor at the school. She is excellent with providing individualized attention to students who are in need of extra loving care.  Miss Sally has been with us since 2008.
1st_week_of_school_2011_004_4_Diana Poell (Mrs. Poell), Early Childhood Facilitator
Diana received her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Butler County Community College in 1998. Diana has been a preschool teacher for 19 years. She is our socialization expert and documents our students’ socialization progress as she interacts with the students and closes our school at the end of each day.Mrs. Poell has been at Honey Tree Academy since 2008.
IMG_2578Miss Ava Honey is our official school pet. She has passed her Canine Good Citizen test and has her CGC certificate. She is currently working on her training to become a Certified Therapy Dog. Miss Ava provides warmth, kindness, caring, and empathy to our students. She has excellent listening skills and functions well in a counseling capacity! Miss Ava has been a part of our school since 2008.
